Out Pride Registration at Comcast Corporate Headquarters

Each year this resource group at Comcast participate in Pride festival. “It’s so important that organizations like Comcast and others come here to Pride and celebrate the diversity that we have in our employees and customers,” said Beth Hester, Vice President of External Affairs at Comcast California. This year was the Stonewall Anniversary celebration. SF theme was Generations of Resistance. We were having a float, and our booth was at the main stage as we were hosting meet and greet with the cast members of Starz Hit Show Vida. So this year was so important to get as many local sign ups for this event. Out at Comcast needed representation in the market. I was asked by the Lead Board Member of Out to o do the registration desk at the corporate office. The was a huge honor for me as out of all the Event specialists in all the seven surrounding markets I was chosen to do the registration desk at corporate headquarters.

Since this was representing Stonewall 50th Anniversary I went back to that time, I decorated as if we were stepping back to that era, the 1970's. I brought in all the old Candy Shop Jars like in Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory. I chose all the candies that were popular in that time, but with the colors of Pride. It was so beautiful. It attracted many employees and we  signed nearly 300 Comcast NBCUniversal employees up to the event.

Somewhere Over the Rainbow

My first themed birthday for a Family was a Rainbow themed Party. It was cute and fun. She was 10 and rainbows are so great when your 10!

So I designed the Invite, 3x5 on cardstock with purple and red Envelopes.

When Planning I decided on a Color theme of Rainbows. I made table runners, rainbow pom poms, crepe rainbows, balloons

A rainbow arch to greet the girls at the front door.

And down the next hall to the dining room rainbows some more

And a rainbow ceiling in the dining room. With streamers

Then Came the food planning. All the food and drinks I chose was a color of the rainbow. I arranged everything as a rainbow displays its color. Our Spread was sandwiches and snacks, so a really fresh and healthy lunch, With fruits and Veggies to assist.

For drinks I made a rainbow layered punch from Otter Pops, you know they are fructose free? !!!

We also served Rainbow fizzy waters

For an activity I created a make your own first name letter art project

And then we had cake, oh the cake, this whole party was thought of based on this cake...

Oh yes this cake!!

It was all white on the outside and cut into it for a surprise.

The girls hit our candy bar before they left...
