Airspace Holiday Party

This was the first outing that I would plan in this position. Our location is in the Bay Area, most of my team, and board members are close to San Francisco.

I started this position in October and was asked to plan a holiday outing for December for our team, board members and investors. There was one small issue I was asked to start planning this event in November. We are in the Bay area where all the good venues are well booked into Jan for Holiday events. I found a great venue with scarce selections. I was excited.

The Foreign Cinema a restaurant in the Mission. It used to be a foreign film theatre. It had since closed and converted into this beautiful space and restaurant, where they still feature classic and foreign films.

The Foreign Cinema has many private dining and event spaces. we were set in the private room: with an expected party of 60.

modernism west gallery

Capacity: 60 seated, 100 standing
Approx. Size: 1000 sq. ft.
Foreign Cinema, in partnership with acclaimed international art dealer Martin Muller of Modernism Inc. in San Francisco present Modernism West, the exclusive, one-of –a-kind private dining gallery, including evolving, curated international artwork, a modern sound audio/visual system, built-in bar, 18 foot high ceilings, skylights, and a wall of windows.
The event was not a full dinner. It was a happy hour with  passed hors d'oeuvres.

I ordered some very beautiful arrangements from my favorite local florist, Farm Girl Flowers.  We ordered a cake that was a drone, and scheduled a photographer.

The arrangements I ordered were mini Christmas trees for the bar area, garland, and floral center pieces

Office Pajama Party!!!

This event was one of my favorite office events to date. When I had started with this company, Quantifind, the events budget was a happy hour every Friday, in which people would use as an excuse to leave early. There was little to no company culture. I did many events and slowly was able to get the involvement with nearly everyone in the office. This party was a September event, so I decided that the day would be themed WFH Slumber style.. There wasn't any major cultural events or holidays our office was interested in so I decided on this theme. I created the invite and set the date.  We always had contests so this year I did a homemade pizza contest and a costume / best dressed.
Our office has a few individuals that love to cook and curate recipes of their own, the theme is slumber, so pizza was perfect. Amazing! I hired a popsicle bar vender. This popsicle bar you pick your ice cream, then a coating then toppings OMG so yummy !

I put out a popcorn bar. Everyone loves popcorn, everyone loves it different. So it was a make it your way popcorn bar. I also added an italian soda bar. This event was very family style. It really felt like a slumber party. Everyone made the best of it. We had fun and games and worked all day.
My favorite part of the event is the costume or Pajama Contest. I LOVE it when everyone dresses up. I take pictures of them on this big white wall. And then I transform them into a scene. It sometimes makes sense with their personalities or the costume they choose, mostly both. But I love creating these for my coworkers. They also love them and it encourages them to participate. When I finish them I hang  a set on this beautiful gallery wall and everyone in the office will vote in their favorite. I sometimes did voting on Slack.

This event was so fun.
