Caddy's 60th Birthday Cookout

This was a big event for me I was able to really work with the client in all planning stages. This clients birthday is in June. The event would be in a peak hot month in the Bay Area. The month of June's  flowers are honeysuckles and roses. The client didn't want to do roses. The client was really interested in the color yellow. I really wanted a boxwood background. So for me to get it made I pitched the design to the client. She loved it. I started the event based on the backdrop of the photobooth. From there I was able to design a logo for the event . I used the C adorned with honeysuckle throughout the theme of this throwback event. I was really trying to bring the time and place alive 60 years ago.

So in addition to the Photo Booth, I created all of the event media and stationary. We started with the save the date. I took the client for a portrait photo shoot. I was creating a welcome sign with her picture. I would also create a keychain keepsake for her guests. A cake topper, the dessert table, a drink station with a signature drink. the gift table and her beautiful flower crown.

I decorated the cake very simple. We ordered a plain white sheet cake and I made edible flowers and a cake topper to decorate.

To the dessert table I added the banana pudding. I put it in cups with lids that matched the theme. We worked with Grannies Delights for the cookies.

For the gift table I just added decorations that goes with the theme. The time and date, The aesthetic of the century. For the table decorations I used honeysuckle vines burlap and that was simply enough.

There was a signature drink, It was a honeysuckle sweet tea. Nice and refreshing for the day, add some of your favorite mix in for a spiked effect. We added regular sweet tea and lemonade.

The photo booth was so fun, I used props from that century. All of the kids and adults loved my props so much.
