Bows or Burnouts: Baby Shower Reveal

It has been a busy few years... But this client has inspired me to get my events out. This shower I was hired to bring her vision together, with some images I came up with a color story for her, Powder Blue, Powder Pink and Gold. The spin on it all was the burnouts. Her husband is a legit BAYarea roadster and car enthusiast ;)

Concept: Bows or Burnouts
This was a baby shower/ gender reveal. The concept was to bring together the softness of a little girl and the rowdiness of a boy. Burnouts and Bows inspired wheels and bows throughout the theme. I was hired to come up with a custom photo booth, cupcakes, cakepops, dessert table, decorations, balloon installation, some shower activities for kids and adults.

Details: The colors were a play of both pink and blue and all the neutral pastel tones in between. The small details were babies, pink bows, cars and wheels.
Dessert Table: The color story followed through the table. I used pink champagne sequins to off set  and bring everything together. The desserts were so cute. Bows and cars accessorized.

PhotoBooth with Balloon Arc: The lightng reflected the blue hues blended with the warm soft pink. The props were baby supplies, bottles, pacifiers, bibs, baby powder, giant bear and blocks, I used a rug and vintage chair to pull it all together.

Cupcakes and Cakesicles: The colors were the same throughout the event, When making these cakes I used pink white and blue, the cakes were enhanced with Chocolate donut wheels and white chocolate bows, The cakesicles were embellished similar bearing bows and mini chocolate cereal wheels.

Labels for PopBottles: The client wanted some cute giveaways so I created the labels for the pink and blue Barefoot wines.

Baby Name Suggestions Box: I created the Label and instructions for the name suggestion box. The boys suggestion cards were wheels and the girls were on bows.

Fun extras: Some kids activities included baby bottle squirt guns and painting the matchbox cars team blue or pink.

This Party was a blast!

Barbie drive by party

This event took place the year of the Pandemic. So there was this drive by birthday trend. I really just wanted to buy that Barbie Box. Emma loves Barbies so it was perfect. I ordered the box. This Birthday Edition of the Barbie box is available for Photo Booth. I made this beautiful balloon installation to go around the box. I wanted the box with the child inside to be the actual photo booth.
I created the invites with the Barbies outside. Here is the child in the box.

We gave her a microphone so she could talk to her guests as they drove by to wish her Happy Birthday.

I set up a table in front of her that was easy for guests to pull up too. They Could jump out get a picture and get treats. I made cookies and pink lemonade. I decorated the table with Barbie accessories.

I made These really funny Face Fans, Emma is always making crazy faces. The event was at the top of the hill. So her sisters passed them out to the guests as they pulled up so they could wear them. Emma's reaction was priceless.

Her Guests ...

I finally let her out of the box.

Her friends up the street drove up in their fancy pink car. And let her drive it, or I guess ride by her bestie.

Later the family had this cake I made.

I think it was a successful day. I captured some more faces...

This was the thank you card that the guests and friends received.
