MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU

I had been begging Aidan to pick a STAR WARS themed party, when we were in Minneapolis I wanted to do it in the snow, like the Planet Hoth, Snow balls and lasers. But we never did it, both boys eventually combined birthday parties so MOM booked a laser tag session and I was off planning the and making my STAR WARS party I always wanted.



For the Invite 2 sided 3x5 invite like normal Black and Neon Green Envelopes

For the Preparation I Started by figuring out my spread. My foods would all have to be themed.
I made some lists and downloaded a STAR WARS font to make my food identification tags.
 
I made light sabers from pool noodles and silver and black duct tape, the kids helped.
For the take aways I made really simple Storm Trooper bags I filled them with STAR WARS Legos, Pixie Sticks, Glow wands, Glow sticks, Space Balls and some other random space like things

I made light saber napkin rings out of black construction the kids also helped.

I gathered all of the STAR WARS toys that I could find at home and in their home for decorations. The kids helped. We love STAR WARS.

Day of party I put it down. They gave us a room that had some dragons in it, but I saw the space room right next door and asked to switch, cant have the dragons messing up the STARWARS and they were awesome and said yes. My STARWARS was about to happen.

All the kids were as excited as I. I love making little STAR WARS nerds. The parents loved it too.

Late for a very important date...

LITTLE GIRLS love princesses and elegance, so instead of throwing a typical four year old princess party I threw a tea party Mad Hatter Style.  The theme was an unbirthday party since the date was past. The invite created the theme and the tone...

 

 

The invite was printed front and back like a playing card

The event can be done easily if you have time and devotion. I found most of the tabletop from my existing home, and the hosts. Since I go over the top I went to the local goodwill, Anthropologie and a locally owned store for rare finds for those little things that made it whimsical. The first thing I did was dress the Table with linens, doilies and mismatch chairs benches stools and ottomans.

After the table was dressed I worked on the center. Best piece in the center Tallest, outward making sure there was balance from end to end.

Then I set the table each setting equipped with a large plate and small, some with over sized plates,  Everyone had a different setting, different plates and teacups. The table had a teapot every 2 seats as well as a sugar and creamer.

Then I added cake plates, vases, and small details, cards, flowers spoons, clocks, cards, stacked plates and teacups all around, making it well MAD@!

 

 

 

 

Then came the food. macrons tea, sugar, cream, cupcakes, cherry tarts, a dormouse, marshmallows, tea cakes, croissants, finger sandwiches.

 

Then I created an entry way of moss topiaries, a tray of hats for our guests and a sign of directions. How could this be a party without games and such. So I made a place where many games were played and discovered by the biggest and the small.

 

 For the Mad side of Wonderland there was magical water and treats, a White Rabbit, the Queen of Hearts, Tweedledee and Tweedledum  even Alice was among us. Since the Party was in honor of our unbirthdays we all sang a song and blew out a candle.
