Working for Xfinity Communities, I executed a large range of specialized events. The events ranged from intimate to one of the worlds largest festivals. Some of the more intimate events that I did were office meetings, property events and micro events. Micro events were just that, very intimate, specialized events for only the property managers in each of our individual communities. Xfinity Communities consisted of seven markets in the San Francisco Bay Area. These included, Mission Bay, Potrero, SoMa, The Presidio, Pacifica/ Daley City, Hunters Point, S. San Francisco/ San Mateo. The micro event was an event that each quarter we would receive an extra budget for events for the community managers. At this time we would ask our Community Account Representatives to invite the property managers from their top properties. The event Would include a range of 9-15 property managers, The Community Account Representative, The Xfinity Communities manager, the event specialists, and sometimes other guests would join. This Micro event was scheduled in San Mateo's market. The Event was held at one of the best performing properties Park 55. The top performing property managers are chosen to attend these events, because they have worked hard with our team to highlight the benefits of our products and services to their new and existing residents. They work around the year and invite us to their properties to have events with their staff and residents. So the working relationships between the Property and Comcast is well established. This is Xfinity's way of saying thanks.
The Micro Event is generally hosted by one of the top performing properties that have the perfect space to accommodate the event. Park 55 is a beautiful property, I have executed many successful events in their lounge space. It is beautiful.
I created the invitations on Adobe platforms. The decorations I wanted to be elegant and minimal. Normally our team would do our own floral installations. For this event I decided to pull inspiration from the space that we would be in. The room has a beautiful flow of natural and industrial.
I decided to merge the two in crating a very organic eucalyptus garland. I added geometric gold shapes, fairy lights, candles and glass. No flowers this time.
For the Micro we also need to take into consideration the space for the event. The Event is a dinner. For the events I must crate a personal chef. So for months before the event we research our market for great up and coming chefs. Once we find a chef that fits our needs with menu and timing we curate a special menu for the event. Then I create the menu. I always bring together all of the design elements throughout event.
